The Role: Technical Manager
Our client is looking for a Technical Manager to take responsibility for the technical and design aspects of all live and upcoming projects. You will work closely with the Head of Development and the delivery team to make sure schemes are designed, planned, and delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate design and technical work across projects
* Work with housing providers, local authorities, and consultants to make sure schemes meet requirements
* Ensure projects comply with planning, building regulations, and funding rules
* Support land and pre-construction teams with technical checks
* Help improve processes and ways of working across the team

Person Profile
* Experienced Technical Manager, Engineering Manager, or Senior Technical Coordinator in housebuilding or social housing
* Strong knowledge of affordable housing and planning requirements (Section 106 experience a plus)
* Practical, proactive, and able to work effectively in a smaller team
* Based within commutable distance to York or comfortable with hybrid working and site visits
