Job Title: Mechanical Auxiliary Engineer
Duration: 12 months - extension likely
Location: Scotstoun
Hourly Rate: £27.73 PAYE OR £37.25 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: 1-2 days on-site per week
Working Hours: - 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing specifications, develop Stage 1 Auxiliary System design solutions in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards.
* Support and participate within the Zonal Integration process ensuring 3D model design reflects design intent and achieves compliance to relevant quality, standards and requirements.
* Participating in developing, maintaining and modifying engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in auxiliary systems - fluid systems, hydraulic systems, pumps etc
* Minimal experience in engineering or a defence related industry.
* Has worked in typically one phase of the product lifecycle in the defence/maritime industry or a closely related field.
* Has an understanding of the product lifecycle.
* Has worked with limited autonomy and has performed routine analysis in one engineering sub-discipline.
