As Head of IT Systems you’ll sit within the Operations function of the business reporting directly to the COO.
This will be a broad and hands-on role where you’ll be leading a small IT team, leveraging supplier relationships and offering strategic direction to help us scale ensuring there’s no risk to business operations.
You’ll oversee our entire IT ecosystem including our complex ERP, supporting back end systems and integrations. You’ll be our internal and external visionary and will sometimes need to adopt a Project Management mindset to translate those visions into high-quality tangible actions and implement them.
You’ll be someone who’s extremely resourceful and organised when balancing budgets and has strong leadership qualities.
Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our Bristol or London office & working remotely

Requirements
What you’ll be doing at Elvie:
IT strategy and planning:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy in alignment with Elvie’s goals and objectives.
2. Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and drive growth.
3. Collaborate with key business stakeholders to prioritise IT demand and allocate resources effectively within the IT roadmap and to support the wider Elvie project and programme portfolio.
4. Control budget and report on expenditure, alongside, driving value from current suppliers.
Infrastructure management:
5. You will have a hands-on role, maintaining and improving Elvie’s IT network infrastructure, including disaster recovery planning and business continuity.
6. Ensure security and integrity of data and systems through the implementation of robust security policies and processes. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements such as GDPR.
7. Oversee device and mobile device management. Spec and source appropriate hardware for company wider use as well as individual team requirements.
Software and application support:
8. Manage and maintain the implementation of software applications used across various departments, including ERP, CRM, payment platforms, GCP and other back-end systems.
9. Manage, maintain, and integrate company wide SAAS systems.
10. Work with in-house software engineers and external suppliers to troubleshoot and timely resolution of technical issues and enhancement of software functionality.
11. Provide training and support to end-users to maximise utilisation and efficiency of software applications.
12. Work closely with the business to understand business requirements, reviewing and assessing these against third party software systems for functionality, security, and portability.
Team leadership and development:
13. Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
14. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring the timely completion of projects and initiatives.
15. Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for skills development and career advancement within the team.
What we are looking for:
16. 10+ years of experience in information technology.
17. Strong business and technical acumen with proven leadership and organisational skills.
18. Deep understanding of computer systems, hardware, software and networks as well as experience administering systems and networks.
19. Strong competence with the setup and ongoing management of SaaS platforms, driving value and delivery.
20. Experience improving and enforcing a security framework.
21. Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical with the ability to write reports, present, and discuss results.
Knowledge/Qualifications:
22. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar is a plus.
23. Knowledge and competence administering Google's G Suite and Microsoft 365.
24. Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems, core business processes. Preferably NetSuite.
Other skills and experience you might have:
25. Experience working in an ISO13485 organisation
26. Project management experience and certifications such as PRINCE2 etc
27. Service ticket management experience and certifications such as ITIL etc
28. Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Analytics and Search Console
29. Experience with CRM systems, preferably Sprinklr.
30. Experience with device management, preferably Cisco Meraki and Google MDM
31. Experience of Ometria, Avercast, Celigo, Trustpilot, JAMF, 1Password and ESET
32. Exposure to SIEM systems, Darktrace and Bettercloud
33. Experience with third party security researchers and/or bug bounty programs
34. Ability to work with Product Engineering, Finance, Markets and Operations teams to assess constraints, risks and opportunities, and provide robust reporting on plan performance.
