Overview
As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model and embody the quality of supreme kindness in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help ensure our residents' care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably and support a sense of choice and independence for residents. In all you do, resident wellbeing comes first, whether you’re performing delegated nursing tasks, reporting an accident, or supporting someone showing symptoms of dementia.
Responsibilities
* Deliver care planning arrangements impeccably to support resident choice and independence.
* Assist with nursing tasks delegated to you, report accidents, and spend time with residents showing symptoms of dementia, with resident wellbeing as the priority.
* Assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care, and other direct clinical tasks under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
* Support safeguarding: recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role and report concerns, escalating if action is not taken.
Qualifications
1. Level 3 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care (or working towards)
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care where you have been a Senior Carer or a similar position with leadership responsibilities, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the person-led care planning process and the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
