Overview
We are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within our Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP) for autistic children that is part of our large, vibrant and inclusive primary school. The role supports every child to be safe, caring and ready to learn.
Key Details
* Position: Specialist Resourced Provision Teaching Assistant
* Hours: 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
* Contract: 38 weeks per year (term time only)
* Location: Garlinge Primary School and Nursery
* Pay: KSA (£24,513 full-time) plus SEN Allowance (£1,484.97); total pro rata annual salary approx. £18,250
* Start Date: ASAP pending paperwork

Responsibilities
* Support autistic pupils within the SRP to access learning experiences and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
* Contribute to planning and delivering targeted support under direction of the Leadership Team.
* Assist with a 30-minute interview panel process and a 15-minute activity with a small group of children as part of the selection process.
* Maintain comply with safeguarding policies and school safeguarding commitments.

Garlinge Primary School and Nursery is a large four-form entry school west of Margate with approximately 730 pupils. The school is part of the Thanet Endeavour Learning Trust and offers Specialist Resource Provisions for pupils with physical disability and autism.
