We are seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to work with students aged 10–16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, working 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. You will be joining an outstanding specialist education setting located in a scenic harbourside area. The school is well known for: A therapeutic, trauma-informed approach A nurturing and structured environment Small class sizes with strong staff support A focus on building confidence, resilience and positive behaviour Students may present with a range of SEN, including: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties, Challenging behaviour linked to trauma and ADHD and associated communication needs Key Responsibilities Support students 1:1 and in small groups Assist with emotional regulation and engagement in learning Encourage positive behaviour and social development Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams Requirements Minimum 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN Experience with SEMH needs is highly desirable A calm, patient and resilient approach Passion for supporting young people to succeed Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
