BIM/Revit Technician
Location - Glasgow Sector: Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy

To support ongoing growth across a diverse and prestigious project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced BIM/Revit Technicianto join their multi-disciplinary team, working on projects across Glasgow and Ireland. You will be exposed to a vast range of projects and real diversity in the role.The work will be primarily office based with some site inspection duties. Under the supervision of more senior technicians and engineers you will assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering BIM models and design drawings for a broad range of national and international structural engineering projects. You will assist in the preparation of planning, tender and construction documents. All work will be carried out in accordance with the company ISO procedures.
About the Role
As a Senior Civil Technician, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality civil engineering drawings, models, and documentation. Working closely with engineers and project managers, you will support both UK and Irish operations, contributing to the design and development of a wide range of civil engineering projects.
This role offers excellent opportunities to further develop both technical and managerial skills. You will receive structured on-the-job training, participate in the companys in-office CPD programme, and be encouraged to engage in external learning such as seminars, lectures, and technical development activities.
Candidate specification:
An excellent working knowledge of REVIT, together with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD and CADS-RC.
Significant experience in working on BIM projects in accordance with PAS 1192-2:2016, BS 1192:2007 and BS 1192-4:2014 standards.
Applicants must have a minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in a design office assisting in the preparation of drawings for outline and detailed designs for structural engineering projects.
Draughting experience on building projects using concrete, steel, timber and masonry.
A thorough understanding of construction materials and construction methodology.
Civils experience of drainage, water, roads etc. an advantage.
Site experience gained in the inspection of on-site works.
A proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios
Excellent communication skills.
