Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation based in Chippenham, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Person with a Forklift licence to join their team. As a Stores Person, you will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation's stock control system.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor inventory levels and make informed decisions on stock replenishment based on guidance from the computerised stock system.
* Organise and maintain existing inventory, ensuring it is easily and safely accessible.
* Keep accurate records of stock deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
* Develop efficient systems and processes for stock control.
* Accept deliveries of stock, ensuring they are not damaged and all items ordered are present.
* Facilitate the return of faulty goods and products.
* Ensure the safety and security of the stock.
* Enforce health and safety rules within the storeroom and provide training to staff on proper practises and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
* Previous experience managing an Engineering Stores
* Forklift licence
* Confident and capable individual with problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
* Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.
* Proficient in using IT systems and spreadsheets.
* Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good mathematical abilities.
