Doors are opening in Rochdale. Come join us on our journey!
Do you have what it takes to become an exceptional part of a Children’s Residential Service that aims to make a real difference to the lives and outcomes of the children and young people we care for?
Rochdale Borough Council is undergoing a transformation, making this an exciting time to join our team and be part of our journey.
As part of this transformation, we are expanding our Children’s Residential Service and opening two new homes for children and young people aged 8-17, with social and emotional needs and difficulties.
We seek individuals with a positive attitude, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the needs of the children and young people in our care.
Our children and young people need care, love, nurture, and guidance to help them navigate their life paths and work through their difficulties.
We need committed and dependable individuals who will go above and beyond to safeguard them and promote their emotional health and wellbeing.
There are excellent opportunities for personal and professional development, including training such as the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE programme, which underpins our ‘Model of Care’.
You must be over 21 years old and have at least 1 year of experience working with children and young people. It is preferable that you hold a qualification at NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People or equivalent, but we will support you to obtain this qualification as part of your ongoing training.
The Rochdale Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expects staff to share this commitment.
Casual User Car Allowance is payable.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check, including a barred list check against the child workforce.
