What You’ll Be Doing
The role will involve delivering a broad range of workstreams primarily related to construction and excavation waste, developing client relationships, and driving business development.
Deliver and review technical outputs such as:
Waste classification inline with WM3 guidance.
Waste and material reuse mechanisms, including environmental permits and circular economy principles.
Strategic documentation, policies, processes relating to waste and material management.
Environmental Impact Assessment material and waste chapters.
Client advice on waste legislation, compliance, and sustainability strategy.
Project manage medium to large scale projects, including tendering, financial management, client liaison, and contractual requirements.
Drive business development through building client relationships, preparing proposals, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Assume management responsibilities and support the upskilling of junior team members.
Who We’re Looking For
We seek an experienced professional with a strong technical background in waste and resources management, ideally in construction and excavation waste.
Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geology, or a related discipline; MSc preferred.
Extensive experience in waste and resources management, especially excavation waste classification, with strong knowledge of UK legislation.
Proven project management experience delivering projects on time and within budget with client liaison and contractual and financial management.
Ability to manage complex projects and develop client relationships.
Experience managing other team members.
Chartered status (CIWM, ISEP, or equivalent) or working towards it.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Proactive, strategic mindset capable of innovating and inspiring.
Valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
Ideally based within an hour of Bristol, Manchester, or Hemel Hempstead.
