We are a market‑leading manufacturer seeking an experienced Sales Administrator to join our business, based in Bishop Auckland, for a fully office‑based role. The successful candidate must have an excellent telephone manner, a high standard of customer service and be able to work as part of a team. As a key member of staff, you must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a busy office environment. Please note this role has a shift pattern inclusive of evening shifts that must be worked 1 in every 5 weeks.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining records of existing companies and contacts
* Setting up new customers
* Processing customer enquiries and sales orders
* Entering prices and quotations onto an ERP system
* Setting up collections with couriers
* Processing invoices
* Dealing with customer queries and complaints
* Researching sales opportunities from a variety of sources
* Contacting potential customers to gather information for marketing purposes and recording findings within the computerised customer database
* General administrative duties
Requirements & Experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* IT literate and experienced with Microsoft Office
* Experience of using a CRM or ERP system an advantage
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy essential
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5/4 or above, or equivalent including English and Maths.
