Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior CE&I Engineer to join the team at Amentum’s Birchwood Park site in Warrington. The role will lead the CE&I electrical systems design for projects in the FEED pipeline, from concept through to detail design, and support installation and commissioning where needed.
Scope
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the design aspects of the project, working with a small integrated design team, and producing multi‑discipline design documentation.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead and take responsibility for the delivery of the design aspects of the project.
- Work with a small integrated design team to deliver design packages against milestones.
- Contribute to the production of multi‑discipline design documentation such as Project Requirement Documents, Basis of Design, Project Verification Plans, Quality Plans, Design Justification Report.
- Determine project requirements independently.
- Produce, review, and check design documents and CE&I deliverables from other CE&I engineers/designers.
- Produce reports and documentation to comply with CDM.
- Interface with Integrated Design Team, facility team (including systems engineering), other project functions and work closely throughout project phases.
- Estimate hours for scope changes or additional work and outline supporting schedule for the discipline.
- Support and contribute to the delivery of Design Reviews.
Requirements
- Significant demonstrable experience in CE&I project delivery, including delivering CE&I design packages and translating user requirements and technical specifications into fully engineered, safe and legal design solutions.
- Experience in space management, panel layouts, cable routing, cable management and cable calculations.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated delivery team and individually within sometimes restrictive time constraints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels.
- Process Instrumentation Design, Electrical Power and Services Design at LV, knowledge of CE&I Functional Safety Systems and application of Sellafield ES 2190 Radiometric Instruments (e.g., Gamma Monitors).
- Understanding and application of required deliverables and design processes for CE&I areas, particularly in front‑end scoping and early delivery strategy.
- Delivery within the SL Management System, estimating and scheduling production and progress reporting.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
