Our client, a respected specialist in electronic and mechanical design with a long-standing reputation for product quality and reliability, is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their growing team in Bordon.
This role will focus on developing, standardising, and improving manufacturing processes within an electronics production environment. You’ll drive efficiency, support new product introductions, and help ensure repeatable, high-quality output across the shop floor.
Main Duties
* Developing and improving manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality and throughput
* Creating and maintaining process documentation including SOPs, workflows and control plans
* Applying Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, RCA) to deliver continuous improvement
* Conducting time & motion studies and eliminating non-value-added activity
* Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure strong manufacturability and smooth implementation
* Leading or contributing to validation and analysis activities (PFMEA, capability studies, FAIs)
* Troubleshooting production issues and supporting decision-making using data and KPIs
* Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IPC and H&S requirements
* Supporting training and knowledge transfer to production teams
Skills and Knowledge
* HNC/HND or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics or similar
* 5+ years’ production/manufacturing engineering experience, ideally electronics/electromechanical
* Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement activity
* Strong documentation, process mapping and analytical skills
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems
* Confident supporting NPI transitions into production
* Strong communicator who works effectively across functions
* Process-driven and detail-focused
* Practical problem solver who uses data to make decisions
* Passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement
* Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving production environment
