The Learning Resources Center (LRC) is an integral part of the academic units that report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The LRC advances the mission of the college through a comprehensive, readily accessible collection of VPCC curriculum related informational materials, instructional technologies, and other academic support services that meet the educational needs of students, faculty, and staff.
Provides individual and small group instruction, assistance, and resources to currently enrolled students who encounter math-related problems in their VPCC courses.
This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (Clery Act) and Responsible Employee (Title IX).Minimum Qualifications:Knowledge
Demonstrated understanding of mathematics foundations (arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics) necessary for success in associates degrees and certificate level career and technical programs and courses.Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software, databases, and electronic communications.Proficiency with graphing calculators.Skills

Demonstrated math teaching and/or tutorial experience at the high school or two-year college level.Demonstrated understanding of the pedagogical principles in working with adult learners and underserved populations.
