Job Description:
In this role, you will gain exposure to a variety of assignments across multiple sectors, working with diverse clients including main contractors, sub-contractors, and client organizations.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Report directly to the Managing Director and support senior management on complex disputes, while managing your own client assignments related to claims on live projects.
* Support on disputed and time-related issues alongside Delay Analysts.
* Review construction programmes and advise clients accordingly.
* Assist clients in avoiding conflicts by providing expert, commercially focused counsel.
* Support clients on delay and loss matters.
* Collaborate with commercial experts on time-related issues.
* Provide delay-related coaching and training to clients.
* Prepare reports and represent clients in tribunals.
* Work with solicitors on construction-related disputes.
* Contribute to Business Development activities.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Approximately 10 years postgraduate experience in the construction industry.
* Experience in live planning and programming roles or delay analysis at a disputes consultancy is highly advantageous.
* Familiarity with programmes and software such as P6, Asta Powerproject, MS Project.
* Experience with formal dispute processes (adjudication, arbitration, litigation) is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
* Knowledge of standard forms of contract like NEC and JCT.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* Degree qualification; a Masters in Construction Law is desirable.
