Position: SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2
Location: Preston
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm
A Primary School in Preston is looking to appoint a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team. This role will involve supporting several pupils who have additional learning needs, some of whom have EHCPs in place. You will play a crucial part in helping them access the curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support for children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
* Help deliver engaging learning opportunities that meet individual needs.
* Follow strategies outlined in pupils’ EHCPs and contribute to progress reviews.
* Foster positive relationships, resilience, and independence among pupils.
* Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and classroom routines.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, ideally in a school or care setting.
* A patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach to learning.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals.
* A genuine passion for supporting children to succeed both academically and socially.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
