We’re excited to recruit a Tenancy Sustainment Advisor (Income) on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2026 where you’ll be able to play a key role in shaping our future. What you'll be doing We’re working in partnership with Maidstone Borough Council, Xantura and Policy in Practice on initiatives to prevent homelessness and provide support to financially vulnerable households. This role will support this work, in line with our data sharing arrangements, by: Piloting a data driven approach through our Xantura and Policy in Practice projects, to support our customers and help sustain tenancies and improve people’s financial resilience. Proactively contact those customers identified as being at financial risk. Provide support to help maximise household income, access funds and to signpost to other agencies, to help sustain tenancies. You'll also help and support customers in the early stages of their tenancy to ensure rent accounts are successfully maintained. More about you. What can you bring? Ideally, you'll have previous experience of income management, welfare benefits or tenancy sustainment. Knowledge of income management / arrears recovery, and the ability to help with budgeting / income maximisation advice would be key. You’d have previously worked with, supported and engaged with customers and have proven experience of working to achieve specific targets. You’ll be responsible for the outputs of this project and coordinating the results. You'll be confident working with computerised housing management systems and have an understanding of housing, and other policies, regulations or incentives to maximise tenants' income. You’ll be responsible for positive interactions with our customer to help them improve their financial wellbeing / sustain their tenancies. When and where you'll be doing it You’ll enjoy a 37 hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £38,495 dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
