Hours: 40 hours per week
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in carrying out all aspects of cost control, subcontract management and change management. The role will involve estimating of target prices, negotiating prices with subcontractors, identifying and agreeing the value of additional works, monthly liabilities, CVR's, interim monthly subcontractor assessments, final accounts, the production and management of contractual documentation as well as mentoring junior staff.
Preparing, monitoring, and controlling budgets for highways projects, conducting detailed cost forecasting and reporting and managing scheme costs ensuring the project is remaining within budget
Creating and reviewing contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and drawings, overseeing and managing subcontractor agreements and maintaining compliance with contractual terms and conditions
Organising monthly cost reports and financial statements, having regular financial reviews and updates, providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management
Identifying and assessing potential risks to the project, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, maintaining a risk register and ensure it is up-to-date
Undertaking Kiers processes for on-boarding subcontractors and drafting subcontract orders

You can lead and motivate other members of the team successfully with a thorough understanding of construction contracts, law, and regulations
Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. MRICS or equivalent professional qualification, with a proven ability dealing with cost management, contract administration, and risk management
