Morson Edge are currently recruiting for one of our leading aerospace clients based in Broughton (Chester) and they are looking for a Process Performance Engineer intially for 6 months but likely to be an ongoing contract. The role is fully on-site, working 35 hours per week and must have an NVQ Lvl 4.
The main mission are:
- Ensure the creation of the best industrial sequence, in the definition phase, through early integration of SLB optimization drivers (Planning, constraints).
- Enable the best industrial sequence execution to secure delivery within takt with optimized level of resources (SLB deployment, LB release per product).
- Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of manufacturing efficiency (CVAT).
- Set-up Line Balancing as mandatory pre-requisite for Manufacturing process/sequencing definition and Manufacturing performance monitoring from conception to industrial phase (early Planning /STV).
- Drive Line efficiency with continuous improvement of Line Balancing (right granularity/time referential, white/red space optimization).
- Support process optimization, maximizing Value Added with priority on critical path.
- Accompany the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT).
- Supports in identifying, analysing and solving technical issues not directly manageable by the Operators & First Line Manager (FLM).
- Provides an E2E perspective at the shopfloor level within the production team / APT.
- Supports continuous production enablement by efficiently utilising available resources & knowledge
- Contributes to the Operational Excellence targets within her/his area by adhering to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Support in identifying Non-Conformance on the shopfloor.
Description
The main activities are:
• Create and maintain PERT chart.
• Create and maintain Standard Line Balancing (SLB) and thus enable Production Pace Control (PPC).
• Monitor Manufacturing performance and propose improvements based on analysis of gap.
• Reduce Efficiency Loss via white space/red space identification, analysis and reduction.
• Improve Process and Serial Allocated time via VA/NVA analysis and shop floor process observation.
• Translate industrial requirements to design & supply chain.
• Evaluate industrial impacts of modifications. In addition, depending on their scope, PPE :
• Maintain Standard Time Value (STV) database up to date (incl. Non Conformities process).
• Check STV golden rules adherence.
• Define/update Method/Process/AOS bricks related to STV/SLB.
• Define/maintain Digital tool for STV/SLB.
• Ensure right level of competences of users/stakeholders on STV/SLB.
• Coach assess end user in the STV /SLB usage.
• Support the Industrial Architect for industrial set up evolution analysis.
