Compliance Analyst - Edinburgh
Eden Scott's client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join their Compliance team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
* Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory developments, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
* Develop and implement policies and procedures for compliance.
* Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings.
1. Risk Management:
* Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
* Oversee internal controls to manage compliance risks.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance controls.
2. Audit & Monitoring:
* Perform internal audits and compliance reviews.
* Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
* Ensure timely resolution of compliance issues found during audits.
3. Training & Education:
* Develop and deliver compliance training programs.
* Support departments on compliance matters.
4. Reporting & Communication:
* Prepare compliance reports for senior management.
* Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry bodies.
5. Continuous Improvement:
* Stay informed on industry best practices and trends.
* Recommend and implement improvements to the compliance program.
Experience & Skills:
* 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in financial services.
* Strong knowledge of UK and EU regulations, especially FCA and GDPR.
* Experience with compliance monitoring, auditing, and risk assessment.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management software.
