What your job will be:
The Technical Pension Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support for the organisation’s SIPP product. This role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring we are compliant with regulations, and serving as a point of contact for customer inquiries. The specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth pension operations.
Responsibilities:
The Technical Pension Specialist will manage customer support by responding to inquiries about our SIPP product, ensuring that information is communicated clearly and concisely. Additionally, the specialist will assist the customer care team in resolving complex pension-related issues. A significant part of the role involves liaising with third-party custodians to address individual and general queries, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues with external partners. The role also includes reviewing transfer and withdrawal requests and monitoring the progress while maintaining detailed records of all communications and following up on any outstanding queries. Furthermore, the role will include some reporting for the operations teams, this includes collating data for internal and external stakeholders.

· Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above
· Skilled communicator
· Previous experience working in a pensions administrative role is essential
· FA2 desirable but not requirement; this could be supported within the role

· Confident with multi-tasking and working both from an operational and support perspective
· Comfortable working in an office environment, an aptitude for computer-based work – a good level of Microsoft Office knowledge and an ability to learn new systems quickly
· Hard working and can ‘get on with it’– a natural passion to want to work hard and be proud of your work quality and ethic
· Strong organisational skills – multi – tasking and prioritising workload are paramount
What you’ll get from us:
· £25,000 - £27,000 dependent on skills and experience
· 24 days holiday a year – plus bank holidays (you can earn an extra day’s holiday for each full year you are with us, capped at 28 days)
· Flexible working hours 37.5 hours a week between 8am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
· Hybrid role with a minimum of one day a week in office; also face to face team meetings once a month
All first stage interviews will be carried out via teams; if successful 2nd stage interviews will be carried out in our offices in Penarth.
