Role Description
To establish effective cyber security awareness and education for a government organisation to support employees and achieve a minimum of partially achieved NIS compliance, the following service requirements are necessary:
• Training Programmes: Comprehensive cyber security e-learning is developed and available for all the workforce (including contractors). Training will give an overview on key areas of risk, such as password security, phishing, and safe online behaviour, with an expansion to the offering for more role specific and niche-based elements such as Operational Technology users.
• Workshops and Seminars: Regular workshops, webinars and seminars led by cyber security experts and delivered across the organisation, to educate employees about current threats and best practices to help mitigate cyber risk. Seminars will be tailored to support the work attendees carry out, making it relevant and ensuring a positive feedback loop so positive security behaviours can be implemented.
• Awareness Campaigns: Launch campaigns to promote cyber security awareness on relevant and current topics, using creative methods to target priority areas and hard to reach groups within the organisation. These campaigns will support with change management, learning completion rates and gather regular feedback to ensure our awareness service is driven by the needs of the audience, and what has happened across UK Government and wider industries and sectors.
• Physical Security Communications: Clear communication of cyber security policies, guidelines, and procedures to all employees, working closely with HR Internal Communication Business Partners and colleagues in Governance, Risk & Compliance.
• Engagement Initiatives: Encourage employees to actively participate in cyber security discussions, share their insights and feedback on cyber security initiatives
• Regular Organisation Updates: Keep employees informed about the latest cyber threats and safety advice through corporate channels, emails, or community events such as Town Halls.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
** Experience as a Project or delivery co-ordinator or training co-ordinator **
**Any experience within training environments or projects and/ or cyber awareness would be ideal**
• experience in delivering cyber security CEA initiatives within a critical and national infrastructure environment.
• Experience of delivering cyber security learning within government organisations.
Skills – must have good communication skills and be able to converse with stakeholders across and other government departments – at all seniority levels.
• Qualifications – preferred (non-essential) cyber qualifications such as CISSP / CISM.
