Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java applications in line with digital and engineering standards
Build and support microservices and RESTful APIs
Collaborate with product owners, designers, testers, and DevOps engineers in agile teams
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (TDD/BDD where applicable)
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
Ensure applications meet security, accessibility, and performance standards
Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development and production environments
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience with Java (Java 8+)
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
Experience developing RESTful web services
Knowledge of Microservices architecture
Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
Understanding of secure coding practices
