Music, Games and Media Course Leader

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £24,716 - £28,014 per annum

About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Course Leader for Level 2 Music, Games and Media, to join our Birmingham team.
The successful applicant will lead and motivate learners across our creative pathways, delivering engaging and employment-focused lessons. You will guide students through their studies, ensuring they gain both practical skills and industry knowledge to prepare them for the next step in their creative careers.
Responsibilities will include:
* Planning, delivering and assessing lessons across Level 2 Music, Games and Media, as well as Music Performance.
* Setting high expectations and motivating students to achieve their best.
* Marking and assessing student projects, coursework and practical work.
* Providing innovative, practical and employment-led training.
* Collaborating with colleagues to share best practice and ensure consistently high-quality learning experiences.
You will be working with passionate tutors and a supportive central team, teaching enthusiastic learners who are committed to developing their creative talents.
About You
We are looking for someone who can inspire the next generation of creatives and has a broad skill set across music, games, and media.
Essential:
* Strong knowledge of the music industry and music performance.
* Ability to play an instrument.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in a relevant subject.
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one, funded and supported by us).
* Strong organisational skills to manage lesson planning, assessment, and moderation.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of music theory and performance (band) experience.
* Experience with music technology (Logic Pro or similar).
* Interest and / or knowledge of Games and Media provision
* Knowledge of Photoshop or other creative software.
* Knowledge of the local stakeholders for the business
* Experience of working within or alongside the creative industries.
Experience of working with year olds from diverse backgrounds.
