A Finance business partner is sought to join this high growth manufacturing company located in Knutsford.
The company is on a growth trajectory and is looking to appoint an ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience accountant to work closely with the finance director in driving the business forward.
Purpose of the role:
1. Communicate with all levels across the business, acting as a translator or interface between finance, commercial and operations.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain accurate standard costing model for manufacturing operations and provide margin analysis.
3. Review quality, demand, and obsolescent and aged stock provision, challenging large values and any significant movements.
4. Provide regular reporting on stock management and stock holding.
5. Liaise with and develop the financial awareness of both commercial and operational managers within the business, to understand variances and margins.
6. Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs and associated variance analysis.
7. Complete associated month end processes to strict deadlines.
8. Actively influence day to day decisions, shaping the strategy and direction of the business.
9. Ensure the reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts (Stock, Provision and GRNI) to the general ledger, including the timely input of accruals and journals.
10. Conduct data analysis using the company's ERP system and linked BI system providing meaningful reports to guide business focus.
11. Work closely with the manufacturing managers to ensure they understand the impact their actions have to the company's profitability and cashflow.
12. Support external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
Undertake all activities in line with Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace
SkillS / knowledge:
13. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE
14. Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to standard cost remodelling.
15. Thorough understanding of standard costing, inventory management and manufacturing processes.
16. Skilled in accounting software, data analysis and integrated ERP systems.
17. Advanced excel skills and the ability to perform data analysis.
18. Excellent attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, with clear, concise communication of information.
19. Ability to demonstrate effective time management to meet strict deadlines.
20. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and challenge effectively with cross-functional teams and non-finance personnel.
21. Able to adopt a flexible approach to Company requests within your level of responsibility, skill set, training, and knowledge.
