A Rewarding Role in Early Years Education We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and experienced Reception Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Coventry, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Reception class, delivering high-quality, play-based learning that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your Role In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that promote children’s development across all areas of the EYFS. You will observe, assess, and record pupil progress, using this information to plan next steps and ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS learning experiences Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour Deliver play-based and structured learning activities Observe and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate records Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning environments Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in EYFS or Reception Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic Be confident delivering play-based and structured learning Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills Be reflective, organised, and proactive Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Early Career Teachers with EYFS experience are welcome and supported.
