Accounts Assistant
£14.00 – £15.50 per hour

On behalf of a long-established property company, we are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work lettings and office accounts to ensure smooth financial operation. This is a part time role at 30 hours per week over four days, although a shorter working day over five days may be considered.
Holiday entitlement increases with length of service to a maximum of 25 days and you will also have your birthday off and parking will be paid, depending upon location.
As Accounts Assistant your responsibilities will include:
* Bank account reconciliation
* Process rent payments
* Keeping on top of emails
* Prepare landlord and tenant statements
* Making payments via BACS
* Processing deposit returns
* Inputting contractors’ invoices and managing payments
* Preparing remittance advice
* Handling queries from landlords, tenants and suppliers
* Quarterly and annual HMRC returns
* Credit control including chasing outstanding balances for rent etc
* Inputting Sage sales and purchase invoices
* Preparing purchase invoices for payment
* Parking permit renewals and other administrative duties
We welcome applications for this Accounts Assistant role from candidates with the following:
* Have significant experience gained within an accounting role
* Experience in property letting accounts would be an advantage but not essential
* Good general IT skills – knowledge of Sage and Axia (or similar lettings software) would be an advantage
* Have an acute attention to detail
* Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
