Job Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will conduct pressure tests and inspections on ATL products, report issues to a Quality Engineer or Supervisor, and support continuous improvement in our Quality Control department. Full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Quality Control and experience with equipment such as verniers and height gauges.
Main Duties
* Inspect and pressure test machined, fabricated, electrical, and composite parts, reporting issues
* Inspect, mark, and process Bladders through to Final Assembly and Despatch
* Label parts, maintain records in ERP and Excel logs
* Support buddy checks across departments
* Conduct derivative testing on raw materials following work instructions
* Collaborate with the Quality team for improvements
* Use hand metrology equipment for quality control
* Produce inspection reports for First Article Inspections
* Maintain QMS logs, including FIA serial numbers and bond viscosity
* Assess customer returned bladders before repairs or recertification
* Raise rejects internally and with suppliers
* Escalate issues promptly
* Follow environmentally sustainable practices
Additional tasks may be assigned as needed, based on your skills and experience.
Requirements
* At least one year of relevant professional experience
* Fluent in English
* GCSEs in English and Maths
* Engineering qualification is advantageous
* Experience with metrology equipment
* Manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of ISO QMS and BS EN reporting is desirable
* Experience with verniers and height gauges
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of TS/VDA standards and FIA regulations is a plus
