Deputy Nursery Manager – Private Nursery Onsite at Mainstream Primary School
We are excited to launch a brand-new private nursery onsite at a mainstream primary school in Bexley, South-East London and are seeking a skilled Deputy Nursery Manager to join the team. This full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026 offers the chance to support the Nursery Manager and help establish a high-quality EYFS setting from the outset.

About the role
1. Assist the Nursery Manager in running the nursery as Deputy Nursery Manager, ensuring high-quality early years provision
2. Support daily operations, staff management, timetabling, and routines
3. Help maintain compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and health & safety standards
4. Assist in planning and delivering the curriculum to meet children’s needs
5. Mentor and support nursery staff, promoting best practice
6. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider school community
7. Monitor and report on children’s development and progress

Our nursery is a brand-new setting within a mainstream primary school, offering a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 years. As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in embedding the nursery’s inclusive and high-quality ethos from day one.

Who we are looking for
14. Qualified Deputy Nursery Manager (Level 3 or above in Early Years Leadership)
15. Proven experience in a deputy or senior leadership role in an EYFS setting
16. Strong organisational, leadership, and team management skills
17. Knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding procedures
18. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
19. Passion for early years education and child development
