This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Construction Site Manager located in Berwick. The Assistant Site Manager will support the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include planning, managing site activities, cost control and coordinating with sub-contractors. The role involves regular site inspections, compliance with building regulations, and ensuring that project specifications are met.
Site Management and Construction Site Management skills
Proficiency in construction management software and tools - COINS
Relevant certifications or a degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus
To assist the Site Manager in their duties to manage and co-ordinate the day to day activities on site, running projects from inception to contractual handover
To successfully assist in the delivery of new build and refurbishment construction projects, safely, to the specified quality, on time and to budget.
· Develop a close working partnership with the Quantity Surveyor to enable accurate reporting on the current and projected financial status of schemes as well as identifying any contractual or commercial risks
· To ensure adherence to and monitor health and safety procedures and documentation on site in compliance with current health and safety policy and legislation.
· Monitor material stocks on site and assist the Site Manager with requisition of materials and plant through the Buyer in a timely manner to allow procurement to meet the construction programme.
· Effective liaison with Head Office departments, on-site Sales Executives, Subcontract suppliers and external Clients.
· To foster and encourage equality of opportunity and adhere to data protection requirements.
· The act as the principal site supervisor in the event of Site Manager absence i.e. annual leave.
