Dedicated PA Required for Support with Daily Living and Advocacy

This role is to support a 54‑year‑old man living with a range of mental and physical health conditions.
Drivers licence required: Yes
Own vehicle needed: Yes
Employment status: Self‑employed
Hours per week: 4 hours per week (times/days TBD/flexible)

We are looking for a compassionate and emotionally intelligent Personal Assistant to support a man with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. He may feel overwhelmed or triggered at times and requires a calm, respectful approach to de‑escalate situations. He also experiences cognitive challenges such as brain fog, requiring assistance with day‑to‑day administration, phone calls, appointments, prescriptions, and correspondence. Additionally, he has physical conditions including fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic back pain, which affect his mobility and energy; support will involve assisting with his morning routine after 1 pm, providing personal care in a paced and pain‑respectful manner.
He lives with one affectionate dog and three cats, has prescribed medical cannabis as part of his treatment plan, and may need a professional, non‑judgemental attitude towards this. The position suits someone who is calm under pressure, naturally caring, and able to balance practical support with emotional understanding.

* Eating and drinking prompting
* Provide supervision when he's moving around to ensure he's safe
* Budgeting/financial support
* Gentle encouragement to access the community if he wants to
* Helping him get to bathroom and prompting to check if he needs to go
