Exciting Opportunity Nursing Associate, Crisis Resolution Team

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our Crisis Resolution Team in Worcestershire in a newly developed Nursing Associate role. This is an exciting opportunity to work in urgent mental health care, supporting individuals, families, and carers during times of crisis with compassionate, trauma-informed care.


Main duties of the job

Working for the Crisis Resolution Team means that no two days are the same. The service we provide is critical to those in a mental health crisis and helps enable specialist support from the onset. We promote a proactive and preventative approach when needed to ensure people are getting the right support from the right service.

* Support the professional referral and urgent mental health helplines, providing clinical advice and developing care plans.
* Assist individuals detained under Section 136 in our designated place of safety.
* Deliver bespoke crisis interventions and support clinicians during assessments.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the role and the service.
* Provide support to band 3 crisis support workers answering calls, giving advice and signposting as well as clinical triage.
* Provide both telephone and face‑to‑face care and support to people in a mental health crisis.
* Support the crisis clinicians in assessments and lead on bespoke crisis interventions when required, including development of individual crisis management plans.
* Support the management of complex cases and frequent flyers.
* Provide acute care to those detained under Section 136.

Experience

* Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Experience in prioritising own workload.
* Experience in working without direct supervision.
* Experience of dealing with the public in person and on the phone.
* Experience of working in a mental health service.
* Experience of working with people with mental health illnesses and complex needs.
* Experience in carrying out assigned duties/assisting qualified staff after training.
* Experience in supervising others and insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate.
* Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information.


Qualifications

* NMC Nursing Associate registration.
* GCSE English (grade A–C) or equivalent.
* GCSE Maths (grade A–C) or equivalent.
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
