Our client based in the Southampton area, a class leader in SaaS solutions for their industry, is recruiting for a Head of Sales to join them on a permanent basis.
As Head of Sales, you will lead and execute the commercial strategy for our clients' flagship SaaS and digital engagement platform.
This is a senior leadership role, ideal for a commercially driven sales leader with deep automotive sector knowledge and a proven ability to build high-performing teams and deliver sustained revenue growth.
Candidates will be working on a national basis, so location is flexible - but preferably within reasonable reach of the South Coast / Southampton region.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead the commercial sales strategy across the UK and international markets.
* Own revenue growth and forecasting for the SaaS portfolio, aligning sales targets with overall business goals.
* Build and lead a high-performing sales team, including mentoring, pipeline coaching, and target setting.
* Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product offerings and market segments.
* Drive strategic relationships with OEMs, groups, and digital partners, positioning the company as a value-adding solution partner.
* Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, operations, and client success teams to deliver a cohesive customer journey.
* Report regularly to the Board and Executive team on performance, market insight, and emerging opportunities.
* Represent the company at industry events, thought leadership forums, and partnership meetings.
What we're looking for:
* 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in SaaS or digital platforms.
* A strong record of leading sales teams to exceed targets in B2B enterprise or channel-based sales environments.
* In-depth knowledge of OEM, dealership, and automotive retail business models.
* Demonstrated ability to shape and execute commercial strategy, lead negotiations, and build long-term partnerships.
* Strong commercial acumen with data-led decision-making and performance management.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
* You think like a commercial strategist but act with the drive of a sales operator.
