Job Purpose
To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate and individual clients, bridging the bank’s offerings and client needs to ensure mutual benefit and long‑term success.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Manage client relationships, identifying financial goals, challenges and risk tolerance.
* Analyze data from investment portfolios, cash flow and other sources to uncover trends, insights and improvement opportunities.
* Research industry trends, regulatory landscape and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
* Design customized solutions that address specific client needs and objectives, incorporating a range of banking products and services.
* Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations and negotiate terms beneficial to both client and bank.
* Provide guidance to clients to support financial decisions through expert investment advice, risk management and wealth‑management strategy support, and updates on market trends.
* Assess financial, legal and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimize potential losses.
* Document all client interactions, transactions and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings and overall bank strategy.
* Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
Director Expectations
* Lead a business function, providing significant input to function‑wide strategic initiatives and influencing policy and procedures.
* Manage complex and critical strategic projects, driving direction of a large team or sub‑function, and embedding a performance culture aligned to the business values.
* Act as a deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross‑functionally.
* Train, guide and coach less experienced specialists, and provide information affecting long‑term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions.
* Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside the own function.
* Coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub‑function, and manage policy breaches appropriately.
* Foster and ensure compliance, observe relevant regulations and implement processes to facilitate adherence.
* Influence and monitor the external environment, regulators and advocacy groups on behalf of the bank and maintain broad knowledge of industry theories and practices.
* Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in complex/sensitive situations.
* Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and strategic recommendations within the own area.
* Negotiate with and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally, acting as the principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions or business divisions.
