About the Hays Education is recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support a specialist education setting from September 2026.
We have a range of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and temp-to-perm roles, offering flexibility as well as the chance to secure a permanent position.
You will be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
* Assist with tailored learning activities
* Support pupils with communication, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Work closely with teachers and support staff
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Support with personal care where required
What you'll need to succeedTo be considered, you should:
* Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
* Be confident supporting additional needs and behaviours
* Be comfortable with personal care where required
* Be patient, resilient, and adaptable
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
