This job is like no other Army role. You could be attached to any unit and go with them wherever they go. As well as being a fully trained soldier, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day actions of your unit, in barracks or on operations. Your responsibility will start on day 1 and increase as your rank advances. You can get qualifications that develop your skills and are recognised outside the Army. Adjutant General's Corps - SPS The SPS (Staff and Personnel Support) Branch of the Adjutant General's Corps ensures that the British Armys people are ready to deploy at a moments notice by managing its people, finances and information. We are soldiers first, and serve alongside every unit in the Army; wherever the Army goes, we are there too.

Training for the role
Step 1
Basic training will teach you how to be a soldier. This covers everything from fieldcraft to how to handle a rifle.
If you join as a Junior Soldier (under 17 years and 6 months), youll do a basic military training course atHarrogate.
If you join as a Regular Soldier (over 17 years and 6 months), youll do the regularadult basic training.
Step 2
You have 15 weeks specialist training at Worthy Down, Winchester, where you learn about military personnel and financial administration. Youre trained to use our information systems and will also get your Category B Driving licence (car). Later in your career, you can take recognised qualifications in Business Management and Human Resources. These include apprenticeships and degrees.

Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT
Training is accredited by the Defence Awarding Organisation, Institute of Leadership and Management and Chartered Management Institute, ranging from Levels 4 to 7.

Opportunity to apply for accountancy training after qualifying period and selection.
Cat B Driving Licence.
