Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer in the United Kingdom (Remote) Job Description
We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

What you’ll do:
* Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
* Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, following approved procedures, including technical specifications
* Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and planning
* Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
* Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
* Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts
Who you are:
The ideal candidate will have experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and is seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing a fresh perspective to existing solutions in traffic signal design.
Key Requirements:
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
* Microsoft Office skills
* Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller specifications
* Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
* Knowledge of LinSig 3
* Full UK Driving Licence
