About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator for a well-established engineering client based in Bedford. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabrication skills and experience working with a variety of sheet metal materials.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication of sheet metal components to engineering drawings
Cutting, folding, bending, and forming metal using press brakes and hand tools
Assembly of fabricated parts to specification
Ensuring high standards of quality and workmanship
Working safely and maintaining a clean, organised workspace
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using press brakes, guillotines, folder machines, and hand tools
Knowledge of working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
Strong attention to detail and quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
Welding experience (MIG/TIG)
Apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification
Experience working in a factory or workshop environment
