We have an exciting opportunity for an
Accreditation Development Specialist
to join us on a fixed term basis until 9 March 2026.

In this role you will be a part of the Accreditation and Careers team with a key objective in delivering support to the RSC Strategic themes through international degree accreditation and approval of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.

The role encompasses four key responsibilities.

* Manage International Degree Accreditation.
* Engage with the overseas universities with accredited degrees by managing, developing and improving strategies such as an international bursary and webinar series.
* Increase the uptake of international degree accreditation by developing relationships with overseas universities we do not already engage with and encouraging them to apply for accreditation.
* Manage the approval of external training courses and other CPD activity. This would be linked into the RSC's CPD frameworks so advancing member engagement and usage.

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office once a month.

This role will require international travel.

Our Ideal Candidate Will

* Hold a degree or equivalent in chemical science.
* Be (or eligible to be) a Member (MRSC) and Chartered Chemist (CChem)
* Have consolidated their knowledge of science and developed professional key skills through postgraduate employment.
* Understand qualifying standards, quality assurance mechanisms and markets for degree courses and professional development programmes.
* Apply sales skills to secure new customers and revenue.
* Apply knowledge critically and demonstrate an ability to evaluate data relating to education and training in an accurate and equitable manner.
* Be able to interact and network competently with colleagues, members on committees, senior university staff, employers of chemists and peers at other professional bodies
