PART-TIME CONSERVATION & HERITAGE OFFICER
SALARY £17,416- £18,323 PER ANNUM (FOR 18.5 HOURS PER WEEK) PLUS PAYMENT OF PERTINENT PROFESSIONAL FEE

For the Planning Officer role, you will be dealing with a wide range of planning applications, including Householders, Minors, Listed Building applications and the opportunity to work towards dealing with smaller major applications. There would also, be a need offer concise pre-application advise and it would be a great opportunity to deal with applications in the Green Belt. The post is 3 days a week.
For the Conservation & Heritage Officer role, you must have a Degree or Diploma in Conservationof Historic Buildings, or equivalent, and pertinent work experience. Membership of a professional institute (such as the RTPI or Institute of Historic Building Conservation) is preferrable.The role will also involve liaising with Elected Members and members of the public;and providing advice onplanning applications and appeals relating to Listed Buildings, Conservations Areas etc. The post is 2½ days per week.
The successful candidates must be well-organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You must also, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and ability to contribute to a high-quality service to our customers.
