Description Job Title: HS&E Advisor Location: Scotland - regional travel to sites Purpose Of The Role: We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HS&E Advisor to join our Environment division. You will support the Framework HS&E Manager to implement and drive our health, safety, and environmental strategy across key water and infrastructure projects. With a strong focus on continual improvement and a culture of care, this role is central to maintaining exemplary HS&E performance and compliance standards. Key Accountabilities: Support the implementation of Galliford Try’s HS&E strategy across the project lifecycle. Provide technical and specialist advice on all HS&E matters to operational teams. Conduct site inspections, safety audits, ISO 14001 audits and ensure compliance with management systems. Review and support project HS&E documentation, including Construction Phase Plans and Risk Assessments. Monitor and manage HS&E performance through KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Investigate incidents and non-conformities, leading root cause analysis and recommendations. Deliver training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions to promote HS&E best practice. Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, supply chain and regulatory bodies. Produce monthly reports and support the management of the M2i system for incident reporting. Champion the Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviours programme to embed a positive HS&E culture. About You: Relevant HS&E experience in construction, infrastructure, or a similar industry. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards). Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Confident in reporting, data analysis and use of Microsoft Office tools. A team player with a can-do attitude and commitment to continuous improvement. Desirable: Membership of IOSH or IIRSM (minimum TechIOSH). Working towards CMIOSH.
