Mid Weight Account Manager - Gaming (Performance Marketing) Fixed-term Contract

Clients include Supercell, Nintendo, Riot Games, EA, Ubisoft, Sega, Verizon Media, Zynga, and more. The role focuses on Performance Marketing (User Acquisition) for EA and other gaming clients.


About the Role

Waste is seeking a Mid Weight Account Manager to manage the EA client account on a day-to-day basis, with a focus on Performance Marketing (User Acquisition). You will be the main client contact, manage briefs from brief to delivery, and work with the studio and production team to ensure projects are on time, on brief, and on budget. You will build strong relationships with the gaming client and identify opportunities to grow the account in line with wider account plans set by the Account Director. This is a fixed-term contract starting ASAP and ending January 31, 2026.


Responsibilities

* Client Communication: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for client communications; keep the client up to date on project status; attend client status meetings and briefs; manage day-to-day account activity; develop a deep understanding of the client’s business and their games; participate in stand-ups and internal reviews; produce Statements of Work (SOWs) and project timelines.
* Delivery: Produce cost estimates with oversight from the Account Director and Project Director; collaborate with Creative and Production to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget; arrange briefings, scope and quotes for mid-level projects; assign resources, lead reviews, track costs, and manage project progress; perform project reconciliations and wash-ups; monitor revenue and profitability and report monthly; identify growth opportunities and feed them into client plans with the AD.
* Client Satisfaction: Escalate potential high-risk situations to the Account Director; act as contact for new briefs and early project stages as agreed; write creative briefs for mid-scale projects when delegated.


Requirements

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a creative agency or performance marketing agency, working with big brands and managing multiple clients or key stakeholders
* Experience budgeting, scoping and supervising low to mid-level projects
* Experience developing project workflows across digital, social, video, 2D and 3D
* Experience managing creative time
* Experience with gaming or entertainment clients
* Excellent industry knowledge and a thirst for keeping that knowledge ahead of the curve
* Performance Marketing (User Acquisition) experience
* Excellent communication skills and a passion for client satisfaction; ability to build relationships and make client-first decisions
* Ability to lead proposals and presentations with strong brand knowledge and amiability
* Strong understanding of video and design production processes
* Awareness of financials and ability to present project scopes and proposals to clients
* Ability to interrogate budgets, budgeting and forecasting in the context of the overall plan
* Confidence to overcome unforeseen challenges
* Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to pick up challenging projects at any phase
