What will I be doing?
As a Transport Planner, you’ll take charge of our regional transport function and ensure it runs efficiently.
* You’ll be the immediate line manager for our drivers, allocating work, delivering instructions, monitoring their progress, and checking that everything’s been completed at the end of the day.
* You’ll handle grievance or disciplinary matters as needed.
* Maintaining vehicles and ensuring driver checks are carried out properly will be a priority, with a focus on continuous improvement and increased profitability.
* As an experienced supervisor, you’ll manage people, keep accurate records, and resolve queries and problems.
* Some knowledge of the Waste or Transport industry, along with good numerical skills, is also required.
What are the requirements/qualifications?
* Ideally, you’ll have a National CPC and be proficient in Word and Excel.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a transport planner or logistics role.
* Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
* A friendly, approachable manner and strong teamwork skills.
* A full driving licence is essential.
