Position - Special Needs Teaching Assistant (full time, permanent)

Salary - £450 - £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start date - September
The School and Role
A specialist all-through school in Croydon, south London are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to support young people and children with Severe Learning Disabilities. The schools offer day and residential provision to students with a diverse range of needs including moderate to severe and complex learning needs, sensory processing difficulties and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders. As a SEN you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development.
Requirements
The desired special needs teaching assistant will:
Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality
Have experience of working with those with SEN needs
Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support
