Your Role as Club Manager:
You'll be at the heart of our club's success, taking the lead on daily operations, staff management, and ensuring our wraparound care is a thriving, safe, and engaging place for children.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire – Oversee a team of deputy managers, playworkers, and volunteers, ensuring they feel motivated and supported.
Create Outstanding Play Experiences – Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging activities that spark creativity, confidence, and fun.
Ensure a Safe & Happy Environment – Maintain high safeguarding, health, and safety standards, and handle first aid when needed.
Champion Operational Excellence – Oversee daily administration, compliance, and paperwork to ensure smooth club operations.
Be a Friendly Face for Families – Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers, ensuring they feel part of the Rocketeers community.
Work Closely with Schools & Stakeholders – Foster positive relationships with schools, childcare agencies, and regulatory bodies.
Keep Learning & Growing – Stay up to date with training, safeguarding best practices, and industry developments.
What We're Looking For:
Must-Haves:
Experience working with children in a childcare, education, or play-based setting.
Strong leadership and team .
A proactive, solution-focused mindset with great organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills – ability to engage with children, parents, and staff alike.
Passion for play and child development, with an understanding of different needs and abilities.
Commitment to upholding high safeguarding and inclusion standards.
Bonus Qualities (We'd Love to See):
Level 3 Childcare or Playwork qualification (or equivalent).
Experience managing a budget and club administration.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates (or willingness to obtain).

Location: Kilnwood Vale Primary School
Hours: 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. & 2:30 – 6:15 Monday to Friday Term Time Only
