Our nursery operates a 48 week model and is open between and The children attend nursery 2 allocated days a week (plus alternate Fridays) to access their entitlement to the Scottish Government funded 1140hrs of free Early Learning and Childcare. Our Early Years Practitioners are motivated and enthusiastic, led by two Senior Early Years Practitioners and supported by the Depute and Head Teacher. We are looking for an experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner who is enthusiastic and passionate about Early Years provision, and who will continue to develop and encourage best practice in delivering this at a high standard. Experience and knowledge of 1140h provision would be an advantage.
Letham Mains Primary School is East Lothian Council's newest primary school, located to the west of Haddington. It opened in February 2021 and our roll is growing rapidly. Our nursery setting is bright and spacious, with lots of outdoor play opportunity - which our nursery pupils love.
Secondments are welcome for this role.

To work as part of and supervise on a day to day basis, a team of early learning and childcare practitioners, in delivering a high quality child centred service which supports the needs of children and families and enables each child to achieve their potential within a caring, safe and welcoming environment.
