About The Role
At OCS Group, we are recruiting for aLandscaper, who can comply with all applicable COSHH, Health & Safety and Environmental Legislative requirements, and procedural requirements as required by the Company and its Client(s).
You will be working Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00, on a permanent full-time basis; 40 hours per week.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain hedges to previously determined standards within car parks, borders and beds and the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms for high-level hedge cutting
* Digging, weeding, and mulching beds, and raised planters around the estate
* Ensure road signs are clear of algae, foliage andall entrances are free of weeds
* Follow the pre-planned maintenance schedules
* Report defects/reactive jobs that could lead to an accident occurring
* Use two-way radio equipment for effective communication.
* Advise on the condition of and maintain shrub beds, borders,wildflower seeded areas
Qualifications and Experience:
* RHS Certificate in Practical Horticulture or City and Guilds Practical Horticulture Skills or similar
* Good level of English either written or spoken
* Have or are willing to attend a First Aid at Work Course
* Working in estate maintenance andclients/customers
* Ability to work independently or within a team
Skills & Abilities (Competencies):
* Ability to provide high levels of customer service
* Able to recognize health and safety issues and report them
* NPTC Safe Use of Pesticides PA1 & PA6W(desirable)
* NPORS Tractor Operators Certification(desirable)
* Working at Heights IPAF(desirable)
* Grounds or Landscaping Environment(desirable)
* First Aid(desirable)
* Driving Agricultural Machinery(desirable)
