Drainage Engineer
Brackley | £450-£500 per day | Inside IR35 | HS2 Project
A leading infrastructure project is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join a major HS2 programme based in Brackley. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex rail and civil engineering works within one of the UK's largest infrastructure developments.
We are particularly interested in engineers with a strong drainage design background who have moved into site delivery, project engineering, or assurance-focused roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee drainage installation and construction activities on site
* Review technical submissions, ITPs, WPPs, and QA/QC documentation
* Ensure compliance with approved drainage designs and specifications
* Carry out inspections and assurance activities
* Identify and manage NCRs and technical issues
* Liaise with contractors, site teams, and design engineers
* Support reporting and project progress updates
* Promote high standards of health, safety, and quality
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Strong drainage design and delivery experience within infrastructure projects
* Experience on rail, highways, utilities, or heavy civils schemes
* Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Resident Engineer, Site Engineer, or similar role
* Knowledge of construction assurance and QA/QC procedures
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
* Chartered status preferred
