One of our long-standing clients is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Manager to work as part of their busy estates team to service and maintain a key contract based in South East London.
They seek an experienced Maintenance Manager who can deliver first-class customer service, organize, manage, and motivate their engineering team, and support senior management.
The role reports directly to the Estates Director, with whom you will work closely daily.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 8-5. The main duties include:
1. Control of all electrical services and management of associated engineering contracts.
2. Management of statutory compliance.
3. Control of building services, infrastructure, maintenance, and repairs.
4. Assist in project management of building refurbishment projects.
5. Maintain all plant, backup, and monitoring systems, including regular testing and compliance with legislation.
6. Provide troubleshooting support.
7. Support infrastructure adjustments, liaising with user groups, preparing documentation, appointing contractors, and supervising sites.
8. Manage outsourced contracts.
9. Ensure contractor procedures comply with legislation and are followed.
10. Monitor costs against market trends to ensure value for money.
11. Chair regular meetings with contract managers.
12. Manage electrical incidents and outages.
13. Lead initiatives to identify additional work opportunities and technical solutions.
14. Provide technical guidance to maintain high standards and swift defect rectification.
15. Coordinate resources for technical and innovative solutions.
16. Lead energy sustainability efforts through operational improvements and technology scoping.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Recognized electrical apprenticeship and qualifications (e.g., C&G, HNC/HND).
* Proven experience in hard services maintenance.
* Experience managing contractors.
* Experience working in estate environments such as hospitals or healthcare.
* Strong team player with problem-solving skills under pressure and innovative solutions.
* Committed to quality and professionalism.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
