Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to provide essential technical support for our grid-scale battery storage projects. This role ensures the technical integrity and performance of battery storage systems throughout the project lifecycle - from design and procurement through construction and commissioning. You'll work closely with sales teams throughout tendering processes. Key Responsibilities Ensure the battery storage systems meet technical specifications, operational requirements, and performance standards throughout design, construction, and commissioning. Review technical designs for compliance with industry standards and assist in developing equipment specifications and selecting suitable components. Provide expert technical input to the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and sound decision-making during project delivery. Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain quality standards, and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety requirements. Key Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in project engineering, including delivery of at least one BESS project through to energisation. Solid understanding of battery modules, inverters, transformers, control systems, and grid interconnection processes. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with familiarity in standards such as IEC and IEEE. Proven ability to solve technical problems, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
